Court reopens Case in Demjan Juk extradition by the new York times Washington a in a stunning decision a Federal appeals court on Friday ordered the reopening of a Case involving the extradition of John Demjan Juk who has been sentenced to death in Israel As the nazi death Camp guard Ivan the terrible. Acting on its own initiative a three judge panel for the 6th . Circuit court of appeals in Cincinnati said the extradition warrant a May have been improvidently issued because it was based on erroneous  Demjan Juk was sent to Israel in 1986 to stand trial. The order seemed to lend judicial weight to the Long held assertion of the retired Cleveland Auto Demjan Juk worker that he is not Ivan.
