Marital status physical hid Cap political affiliation or any other non Merit Factor of the purchaser user or hassles i have concerns about interruptions in receiving my Apo mail come the july 15 deadline to have my address changed with All my correspondents. I have made repeated requests to my non personal and business correspondents using the official change of address cards making address corrections on forms and Bills plus writing notes and letters. Out of 61 corrections attempted with non personal correspondents 12 have changed my address correctly As of this Date. Most of the corrections that have been made Are inaccurate with the organization flip flopped with the pc postal service Centero the organization left off entirely or the organization and the pc with the Box number All written on one line or new York included with a or a not included at All or the zip code written incorrectly. I am continuing the notification process but feel there is no Way it can be accomplished by this july. Given All the difficulties people Are having i feel the deadline should be extended at least through january 1993. Also the repeated reminders for us to inform our correspondents of our change of address is Fine but for firms we Only hear from infrequently How do we know they Ever received the change of address card or Are being responsible about making the change As requested i feel we need some assurances our mail will still be forwarded should such a failure to receive notification happen. In these times of stress due to draw Downs and possible if actions i feel we need some Relief on this frustrating problem of non response to our address change requests. A Frances f. Sabin Sembach a Germany a thanks to doctors i would like to express my appreciation to everybody especially or. Davis Cloward and his staff at the 9th general dispensary in Aschaffenbur Germany. After trying for three weeks to get an appointment for my daughter at our dispensary and being put off from one Day to the next i called Aschaffenbur and asked for help. Well after my first phone Call i had my appointment. Normally this would not have been such a big Deal but right now the entire Aschaffenbur Community is inactivating and still they took the time to help. My daughter was seen with no waiting and everybody took the time to answer any and All of my questions. In these times of draw Down and inactivation if everybody would be As Nice and helpful As Aschaffenbur was life would be a whole lot easier. Thanks again Aschaffenbur dispensary. A Petra Herron Babenhausen Germany a a a Money making plan Here a a suggestion to augment funds for our morale welfare and recreation programs at no Cost to the taxpayer or service member. Why not open up approximately 50 percent of the time currently consumed by Public messages on an to commercial advertising the Revenue could go directly into mar coffers. I believe that such companies As at amp to and Sears would be interested in reaching this audience. It might even encourage them to create special discounts or other promotional activities knowing they can quickly and effectively disseminate these programs to us. This would still leave plenty of time for the customs Cowboy and Flag officers. Besides the 15th time you see a Public service announcement it has probably lost some Impact. Some regulation probably prevents this from happening but Arentt we being challenged by our superiors to be More innovative in the presence of dwindling resources just a thought. A maj. Bradley n. It is once again enrolment time and to spare you from what happened to me i urge you to pay close attention when you fill out the paperwork to enrol or re enrol your child. Pay especially close attention to the Blanks where your Home phone number is supposed to be written to the one that holds the information about your emergency Contact and of course the sponsors unit address should he or she be a military member and work phone number. This information is extremely important and it seems that i made the unforgivable mistake of not providing some of the information and not updating another part. My child has been in the Wurzburg elementary school since february 1991, and i filled out the initial enrolment papers. And then last May i went through the re enrolment procedure. I dutifully stopped at the nurses table to have the shot records checked at the transportation motor Pool table to get the school bus number and to see if the bus pass needed to be renewed. And finally i made it to the registrars table where everybody gets asked a do you have everything filled out a i could have sworn that the lady took the time to scan my registration form. Well during a recent conflict concerning my child the mishap finally surfaced. I do take the blame for this slip up and i do not hesitate to admit that it bothers me very much. Yet what weighs on my conscience the heaviest is that because of my neglect a school official had excellent justification for not protecting my child a Best interest. 1 Learned my lesson. You know what i will do after the re enrolment paperwork is completed this year i will have it double checked by the registrar and then i will make a copy of it for my own records a just to be on the Safe Side. A Heide Vanegas a Atzingen Germany a environmentally aware i recently read an article in your newspaper on global warming. I appreciate the fact that you Are notifying the Community about the consequences of our actions and suggestions to solve this problem. Many people done to understand the concept of global warming and the greenhouse effect and some just ignore it because they done to believe it will happen in their lifetimes. The truth is its happening now and Only the human race is capable of helping to solve the problem considering we re the ones who created it. Its going to be hard and costly but the benefits will outweigh the efforts put into it for generations to come.
