In the belief that it helps an aspiring Starlet to have a famous Lover she got a Date with actor Joe Mantegna and thrust a piece of paper at him. If you could just say we had sex she said it would really help my  americans May or May not find this funny but they re unlikely to be shocked by it having become used to the likes of Howard Stern. In Britain however the take no prisoners style of this diminutive actress in flashy clothes and Bright red lipstick stands out. Critics Point out that it allows the British to feel smug and Superior in the face of american excess. In return they Are making her a Star. Aside from her periodic comic documentaries she has a regular comedy program the full Wax which is in its fourth season on the bbl. It s a confrontational half hour that combines oddball comic sketches with celebrity interviews. She also put on a one woman stage show in the West end of London in 1992 that won rave reviews and sizable audiences. The full Wax is not a place for Jet lagged celebrities to promote themselves without risk. Wax scandalized British audiences recently by asking Zsa Zsa Gabor if she had had a face lift and then sprawled Over her Lap looking for the scars. Of course the sketch was entirely scripted Mike to blur the edges of when it s real and when it in to so some people think i must really be doing it Wax says. Now How stupid Are they i mean what do they think i got into her House and put up lighting and sound equipment while she was sleeping and she did t know about it Wax found her Way to comedy by Accident. A Chi Cago native she went to Britain at 22 to study drama. Her first audition was a disaster she said. I read Juliet and i did t know anything about drama she recalled. But i knew i had to be emotional and i stood onstage and quietly said to my self my dog is dead. My dog is dead.1 and then i started crying and doing verse and All you heard was sobbing and once in a while a word coming through. They were just  after studying privately she entered the Royal scottish Academy and then joined the Royal shake Speare company where she played wenches for five years. I could see i was t great onstage she said. Finally my Friend Alan Rickman said Why Don t you try something else like writing comedy fast " she never looked Back and aside from visits she never really went Home again.
