Hearns last fought on nov. 4, scoring a 12-round decision Over James Kinchen in Las vegas. Three Days later Leonard won his fourth and fifth world titles by stopping Donny Lalonde in nine rounds in Las vegas. After the Lalonde fight Leonard rated his performance a "10" and called Hearns showing a "2." i m not defending Tommy Leonard said. I think he s totally shot. But Tommy s always had distractions. With him sometimes it s More mental than  advised of Leonard s remarks Hearns said he s just As shot As i am maybe More shot. He s older than i am. Look at his last fight. The Victory was the 13th straight at Home for Cleve land whose 32-9 record is the Best in the Aba. The Cavaliers played without Larry Nance who has a strained Tendon in his left calf. Harper had 25 Points 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his first career triple double and the sixth in Cava Liers history. The 76ers, who had a three game winning Streak stopped were led by Hersey Hawkins 22 Points. Bullets 110, celtics 103 Landover my. John Williams and Mark Ala Rie each scored eight Points As Washington erased a nine Point deficit in the fourth Quarter to defeat bos ton. Al though a consensus has not yet emerged the committee is focusing on several Blacks among them White. White told wac radio i have Dis cussed the possibility with some people but i Don t know if it s that important or if it s gone that far. If i would do some thing like that i d do it because i thought i could do a Job not for any other reason. It s a Challenge you accept challenges As you go along in life i would t think that anybody would offer anybody a Job like that solely because they Are Black and i Don t think anybody would be foolish enough to take a Job like that simply for that one  Gourdine a former Aba Deputy com missioner was interviewed by the com Mittee last fall and has been considered the top contender. But a baseball source said tuesday that the committee has become inter ested in White because Gourdine does not have any baseball connections. The daily news reported tuesday that White would be offered the Job. He s out in front but it s not his Job just yet a source told the a.
